Standalone driver error: Incompatible storage media detected in ROBOTIC Lib

Hello,

My BE9 was working fine, but now it stop without any changed of configuration. Now it doesn't work anymore: does not backup, does not perform inventory, does not perform label, nothing.

It is a HP Standalone drive running on a Win Server 2003. The strange error says: Incompatible storage media detected in ROBOTIC library. But it is not a library.

Any ideia?
thanks,

alessandro

Hello,
This is a generic error, have you checked with the device manufacturer whether the tapes are compatible with the device.

Yes, the drive is compatible. It was working normally until last week. We didn't change any configuration and it just stopped.

right mouseklick the tape drive in BE GUI - properties -

The last section shown is "media types"
check this - if all listed media types are marked as No Read and No write, the error appears, as BE is not allowed to do anything with the tapes.
Just enable the Tape-types you have or you like to aktivate by klicking read and/or write.

(Shift and STRG button allowed.)

hope this helps

I solved the problem reinstalling everything again. I removed the device from Win2003 and installed again. After that configured BKE 9 4454, and it worked. Thanks for all the tips.
