hi guys..before upgradation of backup exec 2010 to 2014,any services stop??

To copy these files, you would have stop the SQL instance (BKUPEXEC) as these are active DB files locked. Once the Data folder is copied, restart the SQL service and BE services and then start the upgrade.

the issue is solved..

before upgradation..

Hold the jobs in prvois version.

Stop the back up services(7 services)

Stop the SQL services

Then Copy the Catalog & Data Folder

Start the all services

And then Upgrade is started..

No. You don't have to stop any service

Just make sure you don't have any active job running. When you upgrade the service would be stopped and started by the installer as in needed.

i Copy the two folders Catlog and data..but in data folder there is two file can't copy

its file name is debd_bat and debd_log .its mdf and ldf file.if its possible to copy...any problem don't copy this file for upgradation????

There is no problem if you do not copy these files. You can still restore your BEDB from the BEDB.back file
