Strange Backup error

I´m runing Backup Exec 8.6 on Win2000 Server.
My problem is, whenever the job gets to 127G, it ejects the tape out and asks for the next media. I was thinking this could be related to tape capacity issue, but my backup tapes are all 200G (compressed), so they´re all capable of holding around 130G-140G of backup data. I could even get 166G on another server, although this was achieved with another brand of tapes.

What can I do to rectify this problem?
My backup data is mainly Exchange mailboxes\info store and I´m using HP C7971A 200G tapes.

I would suspect that the type of data you are backing up is less able to compress than the data you have on the other server, and that 127GB really is filling the tape to capacity.

Obviously depending on the type of data you are backing up you'll get a different level of compression, as some formats are already fairly compressed. I think Exchange is likely to fall into this category.

Yeah it makes sense. I was thinking this could be the case, and now you are just confirming it for me. I think I may have to buy bigger tapes now.
