Has anyone been able to successfully restore a public folder item from an exchange GRT backup using the following method?
---GRT backup to disk
---duplicate job to get the data on tape
---duplicate that tape data back to a B2D device
---restore a public folder item
I need to store GRT backups off site. The B2D job runs fine, but the duplicate to tape yields errors about a corrupt information store or something. I have tried using one of these tapes even though it "failed" and duplicate the tape to a B2D device. This completes successfully, but when I try to do a restore, there is no items shown in the public or private information stores. Any suggestions or alternate methods would be appreciated.
