For 25 ports you can select any range

Do you have Anti Virus installed on the remote server ?
Check the event viewer on the remote server, may be the remote agent service is
crashing.

Are you using BE 12.5 or BE 2010? BE 12.5 with certain hotfix can backup a Windows 2008 remote server, but for Windows 2008 R2 you would need BE 2010.

the error occure only when i permit the port that i list above.

Hi ,
I don't think it should be hotfix issue as when disabling the firewall it works fine but yes if it is BE 12.5 then to backup win2008 as remote machine your BE 12.5 should be atleast on sp4
Thank You
