TapeLibrary lässt sich nicht installieren (0x800700005)

Hallo,

wir haben eine Dell PowerVault TL2000 mit einem ULT3580-TD4 Laufwerk im Einsatz.

Bei dem Versuch die Treiber mit TapeInst zu installieren erhalten wir die Meldung:

Treiberladefehler 0x800700005 bei SCSI\SequentialIBM_____ULT3580-TD4_____A23D

Zugriff Verweigert

Installation ist nicht vollständig

Der angemeldetet Benutzer ist der Domänen-Administrator

Wir haben das ganze auch schon im Abgesicherten Modus verucht, mit dem gleichen Ergebnis.

Wo kann das Problem liegen?

what happens when you do the installation through Device COnfiguration Wizard? Same error? If so, are there any Dell utilities that may be locking access to the drive? Is RSM disabled if it is a Windows Server 2003 server?

The same problem with drive configuration wizard.

We tried it also in safe mode, so there shouldn't be any utilities locking access.

RSm is disabled, yes.

OK...then go into Devices and Pause the server. Give it a minute and then Unpause and see if you can get access to it...

Are these actions also being done by an admin account?

Yes we tried all this using an administrator account.

Pausing and unpausing the server ends up in the same error
