We are running Backup Exec V8.60 Rev 3878. We run a full backup every night. The tape drive is an external HP DAT 72 using HP Dat72 tapes. Inventory and a quick erase is done every tape change and cleaning tapes a run once a week.
Every other day the backup fails. I find this error in the log:
"An error occurred while exporting the WMI Repository files.
The WMI Repository could not be backed up."
I have followed the instructions from
Document ID: 253921 on both the Backup Server and the Data Server. No errors from the Document instructions but the backup continues to fail unless I reboot the data server.
If I reboot the server we receive a successful backup them it fails the next backup.
Any suggestions?
