Hi all,

I have 2 cases with the same issue and the same error code 0Xa00084ca.
The KB veritas about this error is not relevant.
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273455.htm

The 1st in SAN environement with 2 libraries and 6 drives. The error could occur on any drives, any tapes, any libraries.

The 2nd one is more simple with 1 library, 2 drives SCSI attached and backup with the remote agent.

Both are running BE9.1 Sp2, veritas lastest driver apply, windows 2003, RSM stopped, SCSI/FC drivers up-to-date.

As the error occurs randomly, it is not easy to find the root cause.
So far, I could not find a redondant information when it happens.

If somebody has an idea, he'll be welcome.

Thanks

Hi,

Please check whether the device is generating any hardware errors in the System Event Log.

Verify whether the event Ids 7, 9, 11 or 15 are present in System Event Log.

Verify if the same error is logged while backing up to a Backup to Disk Folder.
