We have 2 x Backup Servers with the SSO option.
The backups seem to run fine, but when the duplicate's should kick off, 90% of them fail with "Unable to acquire device for the specified pool and media".
We have numerous jobs all created using the same policies. 10% of the duplicates will run successfully directly after the job. The rest all fail with the following.
Drive and media mount requested: 2007/03/05 07:21:02 PM
V-79-57344-33029 - Error - Mount failed.
Invalid Physical Volume Library Media Identifier.
Media GUID: {846CD601-A28B-447C-92D1-3C4F1EC7A654}
V-79-57344-33029 - Unable to acquire device for the specified pool and media
Invalid Physical Volume Library Media Identifier.
I have read elsewhere that this normally happens when your media has not been cataloged. This would make sense, except that we have the duplicates scheduled to run directly after the backup job. (B2D2T)
This happens on both the Primary and Secondary SSO Servers.
We have Hotfix 2, 10, 11, 13 and 15 installed. It used to happen even before the hotfixes were installed.
(We upgraded from 10d last week)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
