Unable to install remote agent on remote servers in a workgroup

This is MADDENING! I have full access to all the servers in a workgroup. I am the administrator on all of them. The Veritas Backup.exe is installed on a Windows 2000 server, and I am trying to install the remote agent on another server in the workgroup. I type the login/password and NO GO!. It won't authenticate properly. ........Tried everything. Do I have to create a domain just to accomplish the install on the remote servers?!

Ensure that the Administrator password that is on the Backup Exec server is the same on that of the other servers.

Also if the error persists, revetr with the exact error.
