Unable to open item: System?State\Registry\default - skipped

I use Backup Exec 9.0 SP1. I keep getting this error when trying to backup one of my (via remote agent) Windows 2000 SP4 servers with terminal services enabled on it. The problem appeared about two months ago. Up to that point I had been able to backup the whole machine with no problems.

Unable to open the item \\TERMINAL\System?State\Registry\default - skipped.

Any ides what might be causing Backup Exec to skip registry backup on that machine?

Hello,
- Since when do you have the problem?
- Was something recently Installed on the machine around this time?
- If this Problem is with a Remote Server, did you reinstall the Remote Agent after Installing the SP on the Media Server?

We advice you to first upgrade to the 9.1 Version, which is a free upgrade from the 9.0 that you have.
You can go through the following Articles:
Best practice procedures for upgrades to Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Servers http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/260507.htm

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691.1 (Single .ZIP download) http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/264658.htm

Hope that helps.

There was nothing installed on that server at that time with the exception of some Windows updates.

Also while updating the media server (SP1), I have also updated all the remote clients.

I will try to upgrade to 9.1 and see if the problem is still there.

Thanks
