We have Backup Exec 2010 SP1 Rev 2896 (64-bit).
I would like to upgrade this to the latest version available to us on the existing licence.
I believe the latest version is 2010 R3 - is that correct?
Can someone confirm whether upgrading to 2010 R2 and / or R3 is covered by this licence.
And if so, what is the process? Do I need to upgrade to R2 and then R3, or can I just jump straight to R3?
Where can I download the files upgrade files from?
Many thanks for any assistance.
Mike

You can directly upgrade from R1 to R3 using the same license key.
Refer to the below forum thread
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/r1-or-r2-or-r3-eligible-free-upgrade
BE2010 R3 download link

Before upgrading make a copy of DATA and CATALOGS folder.

...SP3 for BE 2010 R3 is out, so after upgrading to R3, run LiveUpdate to install this patch. Once done, run LiveUpdate again to install any subsequent patches.
Then push-install them to any remote servers you might have. You would probably need to restart the remote servers, so bear this in mind when planning the upgrade.
Thanks!
