I am in the process of upgrading from Backup Exec 12.5 to Backup Exec 2010 R3 on a Windows Server 2003 server.
I have followed all the necessary steps, and I am going through the wizard to install 2010, but stuck on entering the license keys.
Do my 12.5 license keys work on 2010?
If not, can I purchase the fast track upgrade to 2012 promotion, and use those license keys for 2010?
Any assistence would be appreciated.
Thanks!

BE12.5 license keys will NOT work with BE2010.
If you have a valid support contract than you Symantec will give you a free upgrade to the latest
version. So you may contact the licensing team to check your eligibility.
Even BE2012 license key will not work with BE2010 R3 coz BE2012 use .slf file for license
and BE2010 R3 and older version requires serial numbers. Again you may contact licensing
team if BE2012 license keys can be downgraded to BE2010.
