Upgrading tape drive on MSL2024

Hi,

We currently have HP MSL2024/4048/8096 ultr 960 4gb drive with LTO 3.  I was wondering if the tape drive can be upgraded to LTO 4.  If so which model should I be purchasing.

Okay I'm confused.  Zerocool says I can't upgrade and CraigV you say I can.  Let's forget about the SAS card for DL320 for a moment.

Can I still upgrade the LTO 4 drive to LTO 5 for my 1/8 G2 autoloader or not?

I think it would be more fruitful to talk about this with your HP reseller.  After all, they are the experts on HP products.  After they have given their recommendations, you can then check the HCL for your version of BE to see whether that particular piece of hardware is supported.

Interesting...looks like ZeroC00l is correct on upgrading the autoloader. Weird that HP would allow that for their other libraries!
