Very slow restore for SQL Server database

Hi all -

I am looking through the forums but figured I would ask anyway...

I am running BE 12.5 Service Pack 2, and am trying to restore a small database to one of my SQL Servers (database is about 1.5 GB). The current job rate is 2 MB / min... that is really slow... I chose all default options for the restore job except for the fact that I am redirecting the database to a different name on the SQL Server (<db_name>_restore). I get pretty good backup speeds for this SQL 2000 Server, so I am confused on the poor restore rate.

The media I am restoring from is B2D media local to the BEX Server...

Any thoughts are appreciatd!

Thanks for the response...

No - the job ended up failing after quite some time...

Error category : Server ErrorsError : e000fe30 - A communications failure has occurred.

Strange since both the SQL Server and BEX Server are literally right next to eachother connected to the same switch... and I have no problems with backup jobs at all...
