When do you need an remote agent and when not?

We have the following backup procedure:

On remote locations the incremental backups are stored on a central server placed in a different location.

Weekly backups are stored on tape on the remote locations.

So the servers on the remote locations have a tape drive and Backup Exec 2010 installed to do local backups.

My question is as follows: do servers with Backup Exec 2010 installed need to have a remote agent? My guess is that it doesn't because it already has some kind of agent installed.

Am I correct or ...?

You don't need a Remote Agent license for the media server(where BE is installed)

as it's included in the core product. With this license you can backup flat files from

the media server.

When you install BE on a server, the BE remote agent is also installed. This is so that you can backup the media server

So I don't need an Remote agent license on servers where I have installed Backup Exec 2010?
