I get one chance a year to buy Symantec Products for backup. I am now rolling out Virtual Server's via Microsoft. I was wondering what took so long for the Virtual Server's to backup (5-15 MB) per minute. I now know that they need this agent.
Hum what should I do? Not Roll-out Virtual Server's for 9 months when it is time to renew?

Why didn't you purchase the support option with your licenses so that you automatically get any upgrades that are released? It's not Symantec's fault, you just didn't license yourself correctly.

This is a new agent under version 12.5 of Backup Exec. There is no prior license that would upgrade to it with support.

There are some possible options depending on multiple factors. They might be able to work something out to tide you over, no guarantees though as I am not in the Sales Dept.
