Workstation Backup Job fails-unable to attach to drive

We repeatedly have our workstation backups fail if one of the workstations gets turned off at night. When examining the logs, it appears that all the other workstations are successfully backed up. On our other backup jobs, if backup exec cannot attach to a resource, it states it has completed with exceptions. Is there a way to configure the workstation backup to behave in the same fashion as the the other jobs, or is this a bug in the software?

That's the way that BackupExec is coded

Aside from End-User training (backed up by liberal user of a big stick), while it would be a bit of work to setup, you could define separate jobs for each workstatiion, then rather than user the BackupExec scheduler, run a CMD script that pings each workstation, and if it gets a response, uses BEMCMD to release the appropriate job.
