backup won't write to RDX

For the past week BE won't write to the HP RDX drive, saying that we need to insert an overwriteable cartridge. The cartridge is not write protected and the job parameters say to overwrite. However the job stalls about 2 minutes in.

Any thoughts on this issue?

I had a similar issue with system recovery. The fix was to share the drive and backup to the unc path. Worth a go.
