device not being listed

Problem: As subject says, the tape drive attached to the server with BE 10.0 on it is not appearing in the device list.

Device: Certance CL 400H
BE version: 10.0
Device is on the HCL found here: http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/274347.htm
Does not list drive using original drivers
Does not list drive using Veritas drivers (downloaded driver update as well)
Have tried reinstalling BE

Update:
Changed SCSI ID from 5 to 2
Updated device drivers
Updated BE to v5520
Probably installin BE SP1 (do not think it will help)
Followed instruction listed in Configure Device selected through the Device Configuration Wizard. Device is not listed in the wizard and after following instructions in the configure device button still is not listed or detected.

Device shows up in Windows Device Manager using both original and veritas drivers.

Hi Paul,

* What's the OS version?
-if 2003 then load Manufacturer drivers ONLY
- if 2000 then load latest Veritas drivers ONLY

* Make sure Removable Storage service is stopped and disabled

* Delete all devices (including B2Disk folders) in BEWS

* Make sure your device is not connected to a RAID controller card

* Shut down media server

* Shut down the tape drive (if non integrated)

* Power on tape drive

* Power on media server after full tape device initialization

* Launch \Backup Exec\NT\\Tapeinst.exe to load the Veritas drivers and delete old drives entries (leave the rest blank)

* Launch the Device Config Wizard in BEWS

I thank you for your break down of the steps. Not sure why but when i installed the drivers before it did not work but after following your first two steps BE now sees the device. Maybe order does have something to do with it. For now thank you, I am sure I will return with more questions.
