the past two days I have done a full backup and they finish with not problems at all. All succesful verification, etc.. however, the next day I try to run a differential backup and get this exact error every time. I have tried to make sense of the support link but can't so here is the error:

The job failed with the following error: The Backup Exec SQL Agent was not used to create the last full, differential, or log backup of this database. You must use the SQL Agent to run a full backup before you can run a differential backup or transaction log backup.
If this is the case what exactly is backuping up my full SQL backups? this error doesn't make sense to me and i'm at a loss as I really am not in a positon at this moment for incrimental. Any help is appriciated
