Hello!
The first time ever, I was trying to exclude a special path of all backups.
Means, that if it is present, I do not want it to be backed up on any machine.
I already tried the following variables (none of them worked):
\\**\C:\..
\\**\*\...
\\*\C$\...
\\*\CDrive\...
\\*\C\...
Only thing that worked, was to point it to a machine and drive like:
Does anybody know how to set a global exclusion of e.g. the Folder "Temp" on any Drive of any machine?
Thanks in advance

Assuming that the foldler is in the root of any drive it is on, in the path put \\*\*\Temp (Any server\any share\Temp folder ) and in the file area, put *.*. Also select /subdir
(Basically Munir's first referenced TechNote)

I tried so many different paths, that I somehow lost the overview of the error that occured on each one.
Some of them could not be applied, some of them just did not lead to an exclusion.
I want to exclude a path, that is in most cases located on C:\, but could also be on another drive. Therefore I want to create an exclusion of the directory structure on any drive of any machine
So I will run two more tests with the following paths:
\\*\*\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\McAfee\
\\*\C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\McAfee\
I will update you with the results.
Thank you!

Thanks Ken!
Actually I am sure, that I already tested your version of the exclusion argument before, but the machines did not exclude anything.
Nevertheless, it now worked. So this is the right way to set a global exclusion of a special path on undefined (all) machines.
nice weekend to all of you!
