job engine failed

We have just gotten backup exec 10.d installed and opertional. small test backups have run fine. This weekend I had it set to do the first full backup of our Novell servers and came in to find that Saturday and sunday backups had not run due to this error hanging backup exec.

Faulting application bengine.exe, version 10.1.5629.23, faulting module mfc71u.dll,
version 7.10.3077.0, fault address 0x0009f09c.

We are running 10d on windoze 2003 service pack 1 on BE and all patches on windoze.

Any advice or suggestions?
