media type on gerenal LTO, cannot find LTO2

ITQ

 Perform Window server 2k sp4

PowerVault™ 122t autoloader

BackExec version: 10.0 Rev5484 sp1

I want to know, normally, backexec has media type LTO2 select?

I only can select LTO in the media type. I have search the forum, seems many user got this problems.

It show the tape max capacity of 200GB instead of 400GB. And the backup speed is slow. It similar to LTO1 not LTO2

Do I need update the drive? From the forum, the link is not update. Where can I find the drive?

ITQ, I have run into the same issue. I have a Dell 124T autoloader with a Quantum internal drive, running on Server 2003 and BackupExec 10D. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and updated drivers/firmware for all hardware involved but cannot get the drive to show LTO3 as an available media. This causes any job to show the same error message and prompts to insert a writable tape. If you find an answer please post, I will do the same.

Thanks!
