Hi,

I am trying to find the correct mib for use with backup exec v9.0

I am trying to resolve unknown trap:

And others in this series.

Can anyone please help.

I am using HP Openview NNM to log snmp traps from various hosts.

I am receiving snmp traps from a Veritias Backup Exec Windows Server (please note version is actually 10d, not 9.0)

I have loaded the snmp mib file from Veritas support (the header of the mib is detailed below)

Ths mib is quote old, I need help in finding the mib that supports version 10d.

Does this help?

Regards

Paul

Hello,

To copy the Backup Exec MIB files, refer to the following path in Backup Exec installation CD :

\WinNT\SNMP\ directory which contains two MIB files.
BKUPEXEC.MIB is a generic .MIB file for most SNMP implementations

Thanks for your help, these mibs are still quite old and do not cover the required traps.

Can you offer a newer version please?

Paul

Hello,

You would have to refer to the path in the Backup Exec install CD as mentioned in our previous reply.
