Hy, I'm planning to do a new installation of be 2010 and I need to install the agents in many computers which have installed backup veritas agent 9.1 and I can't restart them.
May I do a remote installation without reboot from media server (an agent upgrade) ?
What can you advice me?
Thanks,
Eduardo

Other doubt is what precautions must I consider about integration with antivirus solution (SEP), example: make a policy to exclude folders, files, process.....
Thanks

Hello

You will have to uninstall BE 9.1 agents and then you may push install BE2010 remote agents.  Uninstallation of 9.1 agent will

 require a reboot.

If you are planning to install BE 2010 then you can't upgrade from 9.1, would it have been 11d then we could hae done the upgrade.
As 9.1 is way old you have to uninstall the 9.1 first and then have to either manually install the 9.1 or do the push install of it.

There is no need to exclude anything in the SEP policy. If you are taking the backup on the B2D folder then you can just exclude that particualr B2D folder.
