pre job command Error (3) The system cannt find the path specified.

here is the error from the log --I took out the actual server name

"servername"
Starting Pre Job Command < e:\sqlbackupcopy\copy_sql_backup.bat >
- Error: Could not start Pre Job Command < e:\sqlbackupcopy\copy_sql_backup.bat >. Error (3): The system cannot find the path specified.

I can copy the path from the error log and run it successfuly from a command prompt.

The e: drive is a physical drive on the exact same server as I am running BE (BE is installed on the C drive)

This link gives a solution for the failed job by saying Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers service is using an account other than the Local System account.

However, I am running Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers service is using the Local System account and I’m still getting the error.

Hello,

Copy the batch file to the c:\programfiles\VERITAS\backup exec\nt folder

- change the job to point to the batch file in that location

Hi there,

Has this been resolved yet as i have the identical problem, and as suggested i have tried the reccommendation of moving the batch files to the NT folder but did not help.
