I would like to know how can I protect the backup job configuration and only allow the administrator to do the modification but not the backup operator?
used to be an Add-On called Exec View that would allow users/backup Operators to view job status and respond to alerts, but not have access to the BE Console itself
That disappeared with v10 tho, And to even open the console I believe the ID must be at the minimum a local Admin on the media server
Seagate, then Veritas, and now Symantec seem to completely ignore Industry Best Practices when it comes to saying that you need to be an Admin to use the console.
