reports refuse to run, "no further information available"

On a Backup Exec 2012 server running on Windows Server 2008 R2 with language set to German, every report I try to run just pops up a message:

Bericht konnte nicht ausgeführt werden.
Keine weiteren Informationen verfügbar.

Translation:

Report could not be performed.
No further information available.

Where would I start looking for possible reasons for this malfunction?

Hi Craig,

thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the tech article didn't help. I verified that the "Use custom image file" option is unchecked but trying to run a report still fails with the same error message.

I'd like to clarify that the error is occurring with the standard reports that came with the product. I do not have any custom reports, nor have I modified any settings in the reports section.

Hello,

Make sure you have all the Live Updates installed and pushed out to your remote servers.

There was a previous hotfix that was released to fix this issue.

Push install of the agent to one of the backed up servers failed with very strange error.

To fix that, we did an unplanned reboot of all involved servers. (Much to the chagrin of our users.)

Since then the problem has disappeared and reports work.
