How do I restore data from a .bkf image created by backup exec

Overview steps:

Create a Backup to Disk location inside Backup Exec

Copy the BKF into this location

Run Inventory and Catalog jobs against the backup to disk storage

Restore jobs can then be created.

If you had copied this .bkf from the same media server that you are trying to restore from, then note that this practice is not recommended. You should always duplicate your backup sets. See this document http://www.veritas.com/docs/000015327
