sorry to post yet another thread about this problem. Slow Mailbox Backup

apologies, I am sure this Topic has been done to death. However all of a sudden for no specific reason out mailbox backup (to disc) has suddenly decreased. We are currently getting a wonderful 9MB a minute backup. This obviously is taken far far to long.

I know there are best practices that Backup Exec have for these issues. They have been studdied and applied with no success.

My question is What have you done to resolve these issues?

--are all these local or remote backups ? i.e exchange server is remote ?

--Remote backups performed using agents (Agent for SQL, Agent for Exchange, Remote Agent, etc.) are unresponsive or extremely slow on particular machines.
