symantec backup 2010 on vmware image

Hi,

 I would like to backup  esx 4 vmware images?

Does symantec backup 2010 still required to installed vmware VCB framework on the backup server?

Also, does it required a AVVI Agent for this 2010 version?


Please advise if you could assist on this and provide some links.

BE 2010 doesn't use VCB or any other vmware produtct anymore to do the backups and restore. It uses its own api's to do the backups of vmware machines on the ESX server.

It definately does require the AVVI license that needs to installed on the BE server.
