symantec backup exec CPS 2010 server doesn't show the client servers

Hello,

I was testing the Symantec CPS 2010 version. Installed the master server (Continuous Management Service (CMS), the Continuous Protection Agent (CPA), the Administration Console, the Web Restore Server Component, and Indexing Component installed) then I pushed the client to another server in a remote site (branch office). I am able to add the server in the CPS service list but still the server is not shown in the setup panel, in order to create a job. Can any one help me to resolve it?

Finally solved the issue. Just installed everything from the scratch on both Master server and the client server.

Hello Zackur,
    Try to follow the steps as per this technote " http://support.veritas.com/docs/297208 ". Also ensure that the services are running uninterrupted on the CPA server.

Hello Zackur,
   Have you configured firewall between the servers?? Could you ensure that UDP Port  1804 is not blocked or used by any other process. Refer to technote " http://support.veritas.com/docs/282648 "

all that were done and also tried even disabling the firewall. but still it is the same.

what operating system do you have on the Master server  and on the client  server?

both are windows 2003 enterprise edition 32 bit and both are of same hard ware specs.

   Are you able to ping that server using RxPing. Refer  " http://support.veritas.com/docs/279537 "

I am able to ping the server using rxping.

oops, sorry that  I did not inform the results of RXping. I am getting an error as follows;

Testing ICMP Ping.
Testing ping on server pad
Pinging 192.168.5.10
ICMP Ping Successful...
Testing ENL connectivity.
Could not resolve address.  ENL Error Code = 1266
EnlPktPing Address failed.  ENL Error = 1011
!!! ENL PING FAILED
Testing JCD connectivity.
JCD Connect successful.

Can any one tell me how to reolve the errors "Could not resolve address.  ENL Error Code = 1266 & EnlPktPing Address failed.  ENL Error = 1011" when runing Rxping.?
