tapes not staying in

Hi
 
i have a hp dAT72 drive, and the tapes just spit out straight away.(any tape)this is a new install and the overwrite period is set to none. maybe the media set is the problem not sure.
 
any thoughts apreciated

When you insert the tapes?  or when a job starts?
