As far as I know the small BKF file that is created when an IMG is created is not needed aftrewards - unless you selected some standard file system data in the same job as your GRT data - but even in this case there is no direct association with the IMG once the backup job has finished as the IMG would be one backup set containing the grt data and the bkf file would contain the backup set with your filesystem data.
