why required exchange management console on the backup exec server

We have the backup exec 2010 R3 and we are taking backup of Exchange 2010

we were not installed the exchange management console on backup exec media server  then also backup job hap pans successfully but since last two weeks its failed  continiously

is it because exchange mangment tool is not installed on media server please forward us tech not or any othe details why we required the exchange mangment tools on the media server

The Exchange Management Tools is required for GRT restore of Exchange mailboxes.
