Hello everybody,
I am testing Symantec VCS . I installed a cluster with one node (vsym1), it s functionnal. When i want to add a seconde node (vcsym2) to the cluster with the installer ,i have the following messages which indicates missing packages on the second nodes.
The installation of the packages on the second nodes was successfull , the packages are the same on the two nodes. The rpm VRTSvlic is installed and fuctionnal.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Fabien.

Looks like a bug to me so I would log a call with Symantec Support. As you say, installer says that products are not installed, but products ARE installed. Note also that installer says:
CPI ERROR V-9-0-0 At a minimum, the following packages should be installed prior to adding vcsym2 to a running cluster:
VRTSvlic32 VRTSperl510 VRTSatClient50 VRTSat50 VRTSllt51 VRTSgab51 VRTSvxfen51 VRTSamf51 VRTSvcsag51
These are not the right package names - the installer seems to have concatentated the package name with the version which is probably why it can't find them - i.e installer is probably looking for VRTSvlic32, not VRTSvlic.

Fabien,
Do you see the same errors when attempting the installvcs -addnode command from the original cluster node (Rather than node 2)?
If you do, then this aboslutely is a bug for the reasons Mike pointed out above.

Hello Joe,
Yes I tried to test the command installvcs -addnode command from the original cluster node and i have the same error.
I confirm they have a bug in the script. When i try to stop the cluster on the first node , the script indicate that I have VRTSvlic not installed.
Thanks for your help.
