SNMP Support for Veritas Cluster Server - 4.1

Dear folks,

We are using Veritas Cluster server 4.1 on Solaris 8 OS.

I am looking for documentations on how to configure the VCS to to support SNMP for management purposes, and what are the MIBs files available including the MIB object and SNMP trap definitions?

The VCS manuals that came with the product cover this very nicely. The Bundled Agents Refernce Guide covers the Notifier Agent with examples of setting up both SNMP and SMTP. The Users Guide has a section on notification including the location of the SNMP mib files (/etc/VRTSvcs/snmp).

If you don't have the manuals, you can search support web site for them. They came on the original product CD or in the download file.

Thanks for the information.  The document indicates how to set up SNMP notifications to SNMP manager ...

Does the Veritas support SNMP agent for query  for status and statistical information? I only found MIB regarding to SNMP notification ... and was not able to find MIB regarding to statistics or status .. IF Veritas supports SNMP agent
, how  can I configure it ?

VCS only supports sending traps, no queries.
