some time ago SUN released their Sun Cluster (SC) for free (but no support). Because I am interested in HA solutions and would like to deploy some clusters (in small environments), SC seems to be natural choice since my boss will not give me any money for clustering (don't elaborate on it). In the future when we decide to deploy it on bigger servers SC will be an obvious choice since we know already SC and so on ... That way SC comes to our company (and I guess any other) without problem. On the other side I have heard that VC is a bit more mature then SC. Is Symantec/Veritas going to release something like VCS Basic (similar to VSF Basic) which will let people use it in smaller configurations (e.g. up to two nodes) ?
