SQL Service Account

Dear All,

In our environment, we have three domain account for DLO. One domain account is for DLO admin console. Second domain account for SQL installation. Third account is for DLO service account.

After installing the DLO with SQL 2008 R2 in the local server, DLO works perfect with those accounts mentioned above. Meanwhile we supposed to install SQL SP2. After installing the same, it shows that DLO Admin service is down.

MY Query:

1) Will DLO 7.5 supports SQL 2008 R2 STD SP2?

2) SQL domain account must have sys admin rights? Please share the permissions that DB must have

Thanks,
Ananth.S.K

Have you checked the 7.5 Compatibility Guide?

Symantec Desktop and Laptop Option 7.5 Compatibility Matrix

SQL 2008 R2 is supported.

I'm not sure about permissions, but I would look for it in the Admin Guide:

Symantec Desktop and Laptop Option (SDLO) Version 7.5 Administrator's Guide (English AND Russian)

DLO landing page: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=landing&key=61042

Hi Marianne,

SQL 2008 R2 is supported. But what about SP2?

SP1 is definitely supported, though need to check about SP2. Is it possible, to downgrade from SP2 to SP1 or remove the SP completely to confirm if the DLO service is indeed affected due to the patch or not.
