So we have some leavers whose mailbox we need to fully archive before removing them.
A 0 days policy was created and it is applied on the target users and almost all the data has been archived for majority of the users.
The policy is archiving based on age 0 Days and no shortcuts are created.
All the options under message classes tab are selected for archiving.

Hello,
check the Mailbox policy you assigned to the Leavers:
Tab Advanced, dropdown Archiving General. there should be a line called Archive draft items, which by default is off. Set that to on, sync the users in that Provisioning Group.
For calendar entries, they might be archived, remember that calendar archiving does NOT create shortcuts, only attachments will be replaced with a hyperlink. In the same policy, there is a setting for Archive unexpired calendar events and also do not arcvhive pending reminders. (set to on and off respectively).
You might want to add IPM.Recall.Report and IPM.Outlook.Recall to the message classes.
See THIS link for messageclass info.

Hi there,
It is possible that there are other Message cClasses which are not enabled in the policy. Can you ensure all relevant Message Classes are selected?

Hello 2, are these perhaps items in the deleted items, or unread? It can be tricky to find what items remain in the mailbox, your best attempt would be to open the mailbox, and then, as Virgil notes, verify which messageclasses are left.

All the message class options are selected in the policy.
I checked the mailbox for couple of users and they are showing calendar items, recalled emails and drafted emails.
I assume Drafted emails wont be picked up for archiving. But not sure about successful or failed recall emails.
