Achiving mailboxes from diffrerent Win2K forest

Hi all,

I set the EV server in a Win2K forest. And I already archive mailboxes for this forest.

And I would like archive mailboxes from another Win2K forest.

I opened the ports from EV to Domain Controller --> TCP 445
EV to Exchange --> TCP 135

But, when I add domain from Archiving Targets, it says "Failed to validate the domain ..." I also write the GC from the other forest. I can ping and telnet the other forest's DC and Exchange server.

What can be the point that I miss ?

Have you setup any trusts between the Forests? I believe the new forest has to trust the forest the EV server resides in.

Yes, I created two side trust brtween forests.
