We have a problem while viewing the archived PDF files under windows 2000 Server, by using Thumbnail view, the windows explorer will preview a thumbnail of all files (Archived and not archived files) for the Archived files, as soon as it shows a thumbnail preview of it, the modifying date will be changed to the recent date, will stay on the File Server and will not be marked as archived, at next archiving time .
this happens just when we use thaumbnail view, by using for example "Details View", and trying to open an archive file, modifying date will keep as it was, and with the next archiving time the file will be marked as archived,
By using windows XP, windows explorer will show a thumbnail preview just for not archived pdf filed, and will not change its modifying date.
did anyone seen such a problem befor, any help is appreciated
