Archiving Exchange Calendar Entries

Hello,

We're thinking about changing our mailbox archiving policy to include archiving calendar entries...  However, we don't want to calendar entry to remain in user's exchange calendar once its archived.  BUT we do want to continue leaving stubs for email that's been archived.  Is there even a way to completely remove archived calendar entries but still keep stubs/shortcuts for email?  Originally i was thinking about setting about a seperate 'calendar archiving' policy but an employee can't have more than 1 archivng policy associated to them, correct?  Is it an all or nothing thing - either have stubs for archived items or no stubs at all???

thanks

You could use EVPM (EV Policy Manager) set a separate policy on the Calendar folders and acheive your goals.  Caution statement:  EVPM is a script-based point-in-time tool and you would have to run the script periodically to apply the policy to new mailboxes.

you can run an EVPM script against Calendar and tell it to delete original, don't create shortcut, the other folders that you don't specify in EVPM will go off of the default archiving rules of delete original AND create shortcut etc

EDIT: beaten by maxwits by quite a bit!
