Hi All,
I have few archived emails and when I am trying open them and receiving the below error messages:
Symantec Enterprise Vault - Error
The requested item is no longer in the Vault.
Could any one please advise how to fix this problem.

I think you have posted in wrong forum. This is Backup Exec forum and i think your issue is with Enterprise Vault. Please post your query in Enterprise Vault forum. Here is the link for the same:

It is also taking me to the same location(section) what shall i do?

Do you receive this error only for a few items, or all items in your mailbox ?
Are archived mails working for other users/mailboxes ?
Any messages in the eventlog of your workstation and/or EV server ?

You need to put more info into to get the thread going.
What storage do you use?
Do you allow deletions?
Is it all items or a specific item?
Is it all users or one user?
Is the item visible in Archive Explorer?
Stuff like this helps forum users understand your environment better

ZeRoC00L - User receive this error only for few items,
archived emails are working for other users;
please see attached snapshot with eventvwr errors I am having in the EV server atm;
there is no error in the console.
Mohawk Marvin --Yes we do allow deletions
these are specific items only
i havn't yet checked the archive explorer.
Hope the above info will help to resolve the issue.
any advise please?

Hi All,
I think the problem is much bigger than I am thinking!
Above errors are are from archived emails from public folders; the problem is any email which before 23rd July 2009 is not accessible from any public folder, and any email which is after 23rd July 2009 is accessible.
This is the message I am getting for above:
Symantec Enterprise Vault - Error
The requested item is no longer in the Vault.
But for individual users in their mailboxes all is OK.
Could some one help me please?

Can I open the case with Symc even though we do not have the support contract with them?

It sounds as though your vault store partitions where those items were stored has been deleted or expiry has run but you did not delete the shortcuts.
To open a case with Symantec you need to have a support contract, so if you didn't buy support from Symantec did you purchase it from your reseller, the company that sold you EV? Maybe you can contact them.
Other possibility is to engage a Symantec Partner to give your environment a health check and investigate this issue.
