Cannot get OWA Extensions working

Our environment consists of...

1x Enterprise Vault server for Exchange (upgraded to 2007 from v7)
2x Back-endExchange servers (not clustered) (Exchange 2003)
1x Front-end Exchange server
All W2K3 servers.

Just recently our company upgraded from EV 7 to EV 20007. The whole process seemed to go well except for the OWA extensions. However, OWA extensions didn't work before the upgrade. It did work for a little while at some time apparently.

Whilst performing the upgrade of OWA extensions, there were no errors thrown on our front-end Exchange server, however the same error was thrown on our 2 back-end Exchange servers. They were (from the BackEnd2003Setup.wsf.log)...

So anyhoo's, I decided to go ahead and do a complete uninstall of the OWA extensions (seems they didn't work before the upgrade) and re-install them from scratch.

To do this, I have been following the Symantec "How to uninstall Enterprise Vault (EV) Outlook Web Access Extensions"

The first step of running the "FronEnd2003Setup.wsf /remove" script on the front-end server worked fine.

Running the "BackEnd2003Setup.wsf /remove" errored on both back-end servers, the error being the same for both which was...

ERROR: ADO connection error: -2146105340
ERROR: Failed to make ADO connection to: http://DPPEDB1/exadmin/admin/wca.gov.au/Public%20Folders/%23%23SchemaURI%23%23/

From here, I tried 3 things. One was to look at IIS Manager and try and browsethe Exadmin virtual directories and I get a "The page cannot be found" HTTP type error.

The second thing I tried is to go to the URL that is in the error, and I get a Windows Authentication prompt. I am logged into the box as my Domain Admin account which is an Exchange Admin account as well.

The 3rd thing I tried was to run "BackEnd2003Setup.wsf /formregdomain:wca.gov.au" and this is the output I got...

So I cannot install or remove OWA extensions. Does anyone have any ideas??? Any help would be appreciated...

Oh and BTW... OWA Entensions does not exist in the "Add remove programs" list.. yet I still cannot install it.
