Changing IP on Exchange

Ed_Jackson

We need to change the IP address to a different subnet on one of our Exchange servers, which is also an OWA back-end server. Are there any Enterprise Vault concerns with regards to OWA (or anything else) about doing this?

Exchange 2003, SP2
Windows 2003, SP1

Thank you.

You'll probably need to update your proxycfg settings on your backend and frontend servers. Also on the EV server itself, you'll have to make sure the new IP addresses are allowed on the EVANON virtual directory.

You 'WILL' need to update your proxycfg settings on your servers as the IP address gets added to the bypass list. And as Jason mentions the Directory Security on the EVAnon virtual Directory on the Vault server and/or Owardr.asp file in the EnterpriseVault virtual directory depending on how your system is configured.

Sorry. I'll be more definitive in my responses. =P

Come on Ghost, Jason's answer was not objectionable. No need to 'SHOUT'.

Everyone's contributions to this forum are great. There was no slur intended with my response. I was merely emphasizing that point to remove any ambiguity.
