Deploying EV Client v9.0.4R1 causing PC reboot in a sudden ?

Hi,

When I perform SCCM deployment of the Symantec Enterprise Vault v9.0.4R1 Outlook client into the Windows 7 64 workstations, it rebooted unexpectedly ?

Does EV Client upgrade from version 8.0.4 causes system reboot ?

How to do the upgrade without causing downtime to the workstation users ?

Reboot might be occurring because outlook is in use at the time? The MSI log should say what cause the reboot, I know that there are some make dc switches you can use to force it not to reboot as well Try performing a regular MSI Install and look at the logs and the switches that get used

Hi Jesus,

I have tried to do the manual install, yes it prompt me with the warning when I'm still using my Outlook, after that there is no reboot required.
