EV 2007 and Exchange 2007 OWA help

Hello all,

I need a little direction and guidance regarding configuring OWA for Exchange 2007 and EV 2007 sp3.  I've run the OWA extensions install, and we're seeing our shortcuts properly.

However, when we access an archived item, we're prompted to login to the EV server.  Can someone point me in the proper direction to configure our CAS servers so that we're not prompted for this login.

ThanksRobot Happy

Hi

Haven't got such a configuration handy right now for testing, but this may help:

(from the Install & Config Guide, Page 218)

In Enterprise Vault 6.0 or later, when using forms-based authentication, OWA
2003 and OWA 2007 client users are prompted to re-enter login credentials when
starting the Enterprise Vault Search or Archive Explorer features in the OWA
client. This is because the request accesses a different IIS virtual directory which
requires different authentication. The authentication is valid for the session.

In addition, if View mode is set to Enterprise Vault in the OWA settings on the
Advanced page of the Exchange Mailbox Policy, users are prompted to
re-authenticate when they first open an archived item.

The View mode setting controls what happens when a user clicks Open the original
item in the banner of a custom shortcut. If OWA is set as the value of this setting,
then the original item is rendered by OWA (and looks like an OWA message). If
Enterprise Vault is set as the value, then the item is rendered by Enterprise Vault
(and looks like a Web browser page).

Cheers

Michel

Thank you,

I believe I have the issue resolved for now (not 100% sure though)
