EV 8 SP5 Client - No Virtual Vault available

Hallo,

we have updated from Vesion 7.5 to Version 8 SP5. New client is already installed at testusers pcs.

For some of the testusers the virtual vualt doesn't work => this feature will be activated for all users.

In Version 7.5. we used for testing offline Vault, with the directory C:\Offline Vault.

Now the directory has changed, due to security reasons. What we have already inestigated is, that

the reg key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Client\.....\OVRootDirectory was set

to C:\Offline Vault an will not be updated with the new policy.

For some users it worked to delete this key and then it was set with the correct directory, but not for all....

What we have done also is to deactivate and re-activate the users mailbox....didn't help.

Is there some setting in the outlook profile which has to be deleted? OR some reg. keys?

Did someone have similar problems?

Office is 2007 SP2

Roaming User Profiles

rgds,

martin

With the EV9 SP1 client

The following registry keys can be set and used in HKCU\Software\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Client, these will take precedence over the Desktop Policy:-

1. OVContentDownload = 0
2. OVRootDirectorySearchPath = <Path>

OVRootDirectory can on be set in HKCU\Software\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Client\<StoreKeyID>
